She was predeceased by: her father Dewey Martin; her husband John Edward Tate; and her mother Mollie Everage Martin. She is survived by: her children, Dwight Tate (Lillian) and Linda Bridgers (Luther); and her grandchildren, Cindy Hannon (Mike), Molly McNulty (Shawn), Martin Tate (Laura) and Lee Tate (Crystal). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
