It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Whittington of Gilbertown, Alabama, who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Earl "Pop" Whittington; her parents, Willard Lonzo "Dub" Gilbert and Nell Ina Ward Ganus; and her brother Larry Gilbert. She is survived by: her children, Chad Eric Whittington (Tina) of South Side, AL and Stephanie Whittington Hedgepeth (Brad) of Prentiss, MS; her sister-in-law Gloria Gilbert of Cross City, FL; her grandson John Hayes Hedgepeth; her goddaughters, Maggie Tate and Caroline Barefield; and her pets, Otis and Delbert.
