He was predeceased by: his parents, William T. Pruitt and Illa Roberts Pruitt; and his siblings, Roy Pruitt, Harvey Pruitt, Helen Pruitt and Earline Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Coody Pruitt of Gilbertown, AL; his children, John David Pruitt (Kaye) of Needham, AL, Bobby Pruitt (Jeannie) of Matherville, MS and Cynthia Inez Pruitt of Gilbertown, AL; his siblings, Earl Pruitt (Nell) of Ararat, AL, Jake Pruitt (Jean) of Theadville, MS, Lilly Smith of Lucedale, MS and Hazel Bonner (Carl) of Theadville, MS; his grandchildren, Heather Whitaker (Yancy), Amanda Tyson (Daniel), Jonathon Pruitt, Joshua Pruitt, Brandon Pruitt, Nathan Pruitt and Kensey Pruitt; and his great grandchildren, BreAnna Tyson, Emma Tyson, Kameron Pruitt and Covey Mc.
