He is survived by: his wife Freida Mooney Downing; his mother Rebecca McIlwain Downing; his sons, Joshua Downing and Andrew Downing (Courtney); his stepdaughters, Angela Miller, Theresa Westbrook (Kevin) and Janet Harris (Ted); his granddaughters, Isabelle, Abigail and Gabrielle Downing; his sister Deborah Ford; and his nieces, Morgan Gray (Brian), Miranda Blakeney (Tyler) and Sydney Ford.
