He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Priest and Belle McIntosh Priest; and his siblings, Dan Priest and Janette Jones. He is survived by: his wife Lynette Priest of Boaz; his son Richard; his daughter-in-law Barbara Priest of Albertville; and his grandsons, Justin Priest and Nic Priest.
