He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lamar Smith and Amanda Marie Rutledge; his wife Geraldine Key Smith; and his son Michael Lamar Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Carol Ann Foster (Johnny); his grandchildren, Jeffery Lamar Foster (Christy) and Jamie Smith Bachman (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Amilia Rose and Cassie Wren Foster. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
