He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Grubbs and Lillie Mae Grubbs. He is survived by: his wife Azalia Grubbs; his children, Shelly Fleisher, Melissa Ilieva and Von Grubbs; his grandchildren, William, Nicholas, Benjamin and Allyson; his sister June Hankins; his cousin Annette Robinson; and his half-siblings, Russell Grubbs, Edward Rider and Hilda Bynum.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Cora Osborne Scholarship Fund at Geraldine High School.
