He is survived by: his wife Martha Jo Childress; his children, Tania Lynn Nix (Ronald) and Douglas Ray Childress (Meshell); his stepchildren, Jane Ogle (Richard), Kenny Hall (Sandra) and Jack Hall (Tracy); his siblings, Wanza Darnell (Jerry), Lynn Childress (Shelia) and Tony Childress (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Nicholas Nix (Brooke), Eric Nix (Molly), Erica Reid (Doug), Chelsey Rhodes (Dusty), Levi Childress (Lauryn), Haven Hall, London Hall, Cody Hall (Catey), Kasey Hall (Whitney), Russell Armstrong (Hailey), Ashley Smith (Josh), Emily Bigbee, Gracie Gilliland, Crystal Hall and Cody Tedder (Kaitlyn). He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
