He is survived by: his wife Meshell Carroll Childress; his children, Chelsey Rhodes (Dusty), Levi Childress (Lauryn) and Cody Tedder (Kaitlyn); his sister Tania Nix (Ronald); his grandchildren, Hody, Boone Childress, Kenadie, Trayce, Wyatt Rhodes, Kopelyn and John David Tedder; his nephews, Nicholas Nix (Brooke) and Eric Nix (Molly); and his niece Erica Reid (Doug).
