She was predeceased by: her husband John Alex Pitts; her daughters, Marilyn Pitts Brannon and Dorothy Melissa Pitts; her parents, Zollie Coker and Lillie Coker; and her brother Samuel Terry Coker.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Cathryn Pitts; her son-in-law Jimmy R Brannon; her grandchildren, Melissa Brannon and Matthew Brannon; and her sister-in-law Carolyn R Coker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (218 AL-106, Georgiana, AL 36033). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery (17601 AL-83, Evergreen, AL 36401).
