He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lester and Foy Smith Shiver; and his siblings, K. L. Shiver and Floy Edna Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Earnestine Hawthorne Shiver of Geneva, AL; his children, Sandra Ann Hatcher (Butch) of Hartford, AL, Stevie Lamar Shiver (Stephanie) of Geneva, AL and William Clevie Shiver (Ginny) of Geneva, AL; and his brothers, Clarence Eugene Shiver (Bobbie Jean) of Geneva, AL and Louie Shiver (Rhonda) of Geneva, AL. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Devco Baptist Church 1008 Sizemore Highway, Geneva, AL 36340.
