He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ezra and Lessie Lizzie McGowan Ammons; his wife Jeanette Ammons; and his siblings, Robert Ezra Ammons, Jr., Quida Ammons, Shirley Conover and Thelma Jean Hopek.
He is survived by: his grandson Dr. Lee Ammons; his children, Willard H. Ammons, Jr. (Connie) and Frankie M. Ammons of Geneva; his grandson Dr. Kevin Ammons (Emily) of Geneva, AL; his great grandchildren, Haze and William Ammons of Geneva, AL; his sister Virginia Jones (Tobbie) of Warner Robins, GA; and his brother-in-law Cyril Hopek. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in memory of Mr. Ammons to the Geneva Senior Center, or Maple Avenue Baptist Church.
