He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph H. Slay and Pearlie Champion Slay. He is survived by: his close friend Rob-Ran Factory; his sister Hazel Slay Leggett; his granddaughter Cassidy Leigh Dunn; his wife Mavis Ausley Slay of Geneva; his daughters, Angela Michele Slay (Keith) of Eufaula and Milisa Alayne Dunn (Stan) of Geneva; and his grandson Clayton Ellis Dunn of Auburn. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, classmates, and friends.
The family will receive flowers or memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the Cassidy Dunn Scholarship Fund at Geneva High School. Donations may be taken to the Geneva High School office or can be mailed to Geneva High School, 500 Panther Drive Geneva, AL 36340.
