He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend C. A. and Mattie Lou Adams Milton; and his son James Douglas Milton. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Milton; his children, Derek Milton (Marcy) of Geneva, Jeannie Kaul (Chris) of Montgomery, William D. Brown, Jr. (Sue), Robert W. Brown and Richard Brown of Pace, FL; his grandchildren, Gage Milton, Jarrod Milton, Jacob Ritchie, Jaymes Ritchie, Jonah Ritchie, Morgann Kaul, Jalynd Kaul, Tommy Brown, Brittany Adams, Garrett Brown and Seth Brown; and his great grandchildren, Jon Derek Milton and John Adams.
