He is survived by: his wife Shirley Glover; his daughter Melissa Gammons (Terry); his grandchildren, Joshua Shane Gammons, Hunter Lane Gammons, Brittany Ledford (David) and T. J. Gammons; his nephews, Jimmy Wayne Mixon (Nikki), Johnny Wayne Mixon, Harvey Wayne Mixon and Terry Wayne Mixon; his siblings, James Thomas Mixon (Sharon), Coy Mixon (Joanne) and Ann Swift (Robert); and his sister-in-law Joyce Mixon (Louie). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
