He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Cook and Eleanor Sketoe Cook; and his son Charles L. Miller. He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Adams (Scott) of Geneva, AL and Malinda Ashton (Kevin) of Dothan, AL; his grandchildren, Steven Brent Churchwell, Zachary Ashton (Kim), Brie Gilley (Jamie) and Brooke Beagles; his great grandchildren, Maya, Rylen, Grayson, Elijah Ashton and Kaydence Gilley; and his siblings, Shirley Cross (Bobby) of Geneva, AL, Clyde Cook (Judy) of Geneva, AL, Earline Green of Geneva, AL and Dorothy Hall of Pensacola, FL..
