He was predeceased by: his father Bud Barnes; and his daughter Cynthia Bodiford. He is survived by: his wife Anna Ree Barnes; his children, David Barnes of Geneva and Vicky Barnes of Ozark; his grandson Bradley Bodiford (Katie) of Jacksonville, FL; his great grandchildren, Brendan Bodiford and Clara Bodiford; his siblings, Betty Sue Bottoms of Geneva and Edward "Buddy" Barnes of Hartford; and his son-in-law John Bodiford (Mary Anne) of Opelika.
