It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Ard (Geneva, Alabama), who passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gladys Ard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Kenith Keene and Savannah Elizabeth Scott; her husband Rev. Wesley Wilmer Ard; her son Carlton Eugene Ard; her grandsons, Robert Carlton Ard and Andy Lamar Davis; and her siblings, Clara Lou Keene, Susan Norton (Lonzo), Ethel Collins Ola Albritton (Robert), Edyce Reynolds, Mary Brady Hewett (Hubert Brady), Joe Keene (Sara), Johnnie Keene (Lois), Clyde Keene (Mettie) and Delma Keene (Ouida).
She is survived by: her children, Merle Ard (Ed Brown), Wavene Poole (Eanix), Florance Waters (Charlie), Doria Moody (Clyde), Rev. Wesley Ard (Lois), Rev. Wendell Ard (Rachel) and Rev. Lorry Ard (Dana); her grandchildren, William Hardin, John David, Seth, Matthew, Mark, Trent, Trey, Dylan, Savannah Ard, Nicholas Davis and Reid Moody; and her close friend Nora Blair. She is also survived by 38 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 12:00 p. m.
