He was loved and cherished by many people including: his granddaughter Caroline Rose Miller; his wife Mattie Jean Ray; his children, Marjorie Lynn Turner of Pike County, Mary Jean Miller (Robert) of Hartford, AL and Michael Kalil, Jr. (Lisa) of Arab, AL; his brother Jack Martin, Sr. (Wendy); and his sister-in-law Maggie Martin of Concord.
