He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Welch Burkett of Darlington, FL; his children, Rita Marsh (Larry) of Samson, AL, Ricky Burkett (Marie) of Darlington, FL, Elisha Barksdale (Joyce) of New Philadelphia, OH, Alexi Goddin (Cody) of Ponce, Kyarra Scott (Jeffery) of Samson, AL and Chelsea Burkett (Willie Toles); his grandchildren, Erica Adams (Jason), Allen Marsh (Andrea), Frank Araneo (Jodi), Brittaney Schofield (Jeremy), Nicki Burkett, Kaeydence Nelson, Bryan, Anessa, Amaiyah Scott, Liam Goddin and Triston Martin (Breanna); and his brother Duncan Burkett (Sheila) of Samson, AL.. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
