He was predeceased by: his father Harmon Harold Cardwell; his stepdaughter Danah Johnson; and his brother Harold Gene Cardwell. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Johnson Cardwell; his children, Jamie Cardwell of Geneva, Brandie Cardwell of Geneva and Jeremy Johnson of Enterprise; his stepchildren, Brandy Tores of Geneva and Shane Johnson of Coffee Springs; and his sisters, Margaret Mixon (Wayne) of Geneva, Margie Sowell of Geneva and Marie Davis of Huntsville. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
