She was predeceased by: her parent Homer Nathan Ball; and her husband Welborn Askew. She is survived by: her parent Frances Turner Ball Meadows; and her children-in-law, Carol Sheppard, Jeff Sheppard of Gaylesville, AL, Rhonda Holcomb, Kevin Holcomb of Piedmont, AL, Donna Bennett, Tommy Bennett of Newnan, Ashley Dawson, Cody Dawson of Gaylesville, Clay Askew, Ellen Askew of Piedmont and Ronald Samuel Crain of Hogansville. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with Mrs. Askew's medical expenses.
