It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Mae Hardin of Gaylesville, Alabama, who passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Terry Potts and Ludie Maybelle Taylor Potts; her husband Douglas McArthur Hardin, Sr.; her children, Debbie Diane Hardin and Christopher Eugene Hardin; and her siblings, Judy Gray, George "Junior" Potts and John Potts.
She is survived by: her children, Toni Layne, Amanda Gray and Douglas McArthur Hardin, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kelsey Little, Kirkland Layne, Devin Hardin, Joshua Fisher, Harmony Gray and Serenity Gray; and her siblings, Lois Desgrosiellier, Alice Osborn, Charlotte Wood and Alfred Potts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
