He is survived by: his wife Thelma Crane Steele; his daughters, Vera Jones (James) of Fort Payne, Phyllis Smothers (Wayne) of Gaylesville, Windy Stone Gaylesville (Jerry), Chosen and Tina Steele of Gaylesville; his siblings, Troy Steele of Tampa, FL. and Sue Lay of Centre; and his grandchildren, Jamie Jones, Valerie Shook, April Poss, Chris Steele, Justin Barnes and Casey Kennedy. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
