We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2020, at the age of 57, Phillip Nixon of Gaylesville, Alabama, born in Trion, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cordell and Hazel Louise Smith Nixon; and his siblings, Carolyn Wesson, Jo Spears, Dorothy Baugh, James David Nixon, Mary Nell Joyner, Richard Nixon, Betty Ann Beckner and Timothy Nixon.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Nixon; his children, John McDonald (Kelsie), Lindsey Hankins (Brian), Sherry Broome (David), Sonya Edwards (Jeff) and Sienna Hall; his siblings, Mike Nixon (Linda), Anthony Nixon (Tina), Larry Nixon (Rose) and Rita Brock (Larry); and his granddaughter Reese Willingham. He is also survived by 10 other grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The Nixon family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
