She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Edgar and Bessie Lee Early Nelson; her former husband Bobby McGinnis, Sr.; and her siblings, Tommy Nelson, Gertrude Montgomery, Hazel Nelson, Jackie McPherson and Judy Hood.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Ray Nelson; her son Bobby Joe McGinnis, Jr. (Marquetta); her siblings, Henry Allen Nelson (Donna), Mildred Nelson, Nancy Nelson (Johnny), Helen Derrick (Bill), Ellen Newberry and Linda Brown (Jerry); her grandchildren, Laci Smitherman and Mahayla McGraw; and her great grandchildren, Raegan Smitherman, Zackery McGraw and McKenna McGraw. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
