It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Battles of Gaylesville, Alabama, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth Lamar Addison; her husband Jerry Wayne Battles; her son Stephen Ray Addison; and her stepfather Alvin Junior Ray. She is survived by: her mother Mary Frances Shearin Ray; her son Chris Jared Battles; her siblings, Lamar Addison, Darryl Ray (Carla), Michael Ray (Trisha), Randall Ray, Vicki Robbins, Pamela Porter and Kimberly Reynolds (Michael); and her grandchildren, Gregory Battles, Kylie Battles and Emmalyn Battles.
Visitation will be held privately for the family. The Battles family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings limitations including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
