He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Melinda Jackson; and his siblings, Barbara Tallent, Rachel Richardson, Rebecca Black, Peggy Bentley, W. H. Epps, Richard Epps, Sr., Randy Epps and Daniel "Buddy" Epps.
He is survived by: his wife Phoebe Jackson Epps; his children, Ray Jackson (Chasity) and Angel Whitt; his siblings, Dale Epps (Helen), Billy Epps, Jr. and Beatrice McBrayer; and his grandchildren, Audrie, Thomas, Elizabeth and Joey McBrayer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
