Though Fortner may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Fortner; his son Greg Fortner; and his siblings, Jrvielee Mellinger, Mae Gravley and Bennie Fortner.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Tucker (Craig) of Gaylesville, AL; and his granddaughters, Whitney Smith (Brandon) and Cheyenne Callahan (Chase).
