She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Gilbreath and Esther Alvina Gilbreath. She is survived by: her husband Charles Dykes; her children, Mark Dykes (Emily) and Kimberly Dykes Davidson (Allan); her siblings, Gary Gilbreath (Jeanette), Janet Forester (Bill) and Claudene James (Billy); and her grandchildren, Aaron, Anthony, Sydney and Ava. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
