She was predeceased by: her husband John Ross Barton Jr.; her son Christopher Scott Barton; her parents, Stacy Lee Scott and Albert Roy Scott; her siblings, Bennie Ray Scott, Edward Scott and Clara Evelyn Edge; and her siblings-in-law, Tess Scott and Charles Earl Edge.
She is survived by: her nieces, Brenda G. Hall (Billy) and Cindy E. Henry (Ricky); and her close friends, Brandy Reeves Annie Cole, Sonya Dudley, Melinda Webster and Latoya Morris. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews along by caregivers.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the same location.
