Shelba Jean left this world on January 28, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Erasmus Bethel Harbison and Vera Lee Hutchinson Harbison; her brother E. B. Harbison; and her husbands, Vernerd Hines and William Truitt McCleney.
She is survived by: her sons, Warren Keith Hines (Merry Jane "Sissy"), Kenneth Wayne Hines (Denise), Jim McCleney (Gayla), Allen McCleney (Debra), Sidney McCleney, Rodney McCleney (Gail) and Kenny McCleney (Lori); her grandsons, Jacob Keith Hines (Kaitlyn), Jared Wayne Hines (Elizabeth Anne) and Caleb Hines; her great grandchildren, Zoey Kate Hines, Weston Pierce Hines, Georgia Logan Hines, Abby Grace Hines and Warren Drake Hines; her sister Charlotte Calvert; her sister-in-law Ethelene Harbison; her daughter-in-law Sissy; her caregivers, Diedre Cooper and Patricia Manley; and also Sharon Hamilton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family, and special friend.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
