She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy M. Whitfield and Ressie Mae Barnett Whitfield; her husband James "Jimmie" Cable, Jr.; and her sister Annette Dulaney. She is survived by: her children, Terri Varden (Warren), Mindy White (Ron) and Venny Cable (Lee); and her grandchildren, Tiffany Cable, Jenna Lovelace (Cory), Chris White and Joshua Varden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Cable be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church.
