He was predeceased by: his parents, James Parkinson and Velma Parkinson; and his brother Jim Parkinson. He is survived by: his wife Norma Parkinson; his daughters, Kelly Duncan (Manuel) and Amy Parkinson; and his grandsons, Christopher, Joshua and Brodie. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church Missions Fund.
