Robert Michael Franklin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Michael Franklin of Gardendale, Alabama, who passed away on April 26, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Franklin and Elizabeth Franklin; his nephew-in-law Neal Hollis; and his niece Paula Pennington Jones. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Evelyn Franklin; his daughters, Jennifer Franklin, Jessica Horsley and Tiffany Franklin; his grandchildren, Kailyn Arnold, Kamryn Arnold and Gunner Horsley; his siblings, Ferrell Franklin (Jean) and Reba Pennington; and his sister-in-law Sheila Waldrep. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mike's memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's CNS Lymphoma Center, to support research and patient care for CNS lymphoma.
