He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Marlin and Katherine Marlin; his daughter Rebecca Marlin; and his siblings, Alvis "Balb" Marlin, John "Jackie" Marlin, Gerald "Jerry" Marlin, Janice Ray and Betty Huey.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Marlin; his children, Alex Marlin, Toni Marlin and Tracy Dyer (Jerry); his grandsons, Dylan Hamblin (Brandi), Chase Holbrook (Michele) and Tre Holbrook (Jasmin); his great grandchildren, Hudson, Lokey and Alexander; his siblings, Judy York and Thomas Marlin; and his nieces and nephews, Ginger Cahill (Tom), Katherine Goode, Kim Marlin, Cindy Tew, Lisa Aldridge, Amy Reed, Daphne Billingsley, Amanda Marlin, Tammy Williams (Jeff), Greg Marlin, Chris Hawsey, Jeff Hawsey, Tommy Marlin and Kevin Marlin.
In lieu of flowers the Marlin family asks that donations be made to The Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Mount Olive, AL.
