She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Mize and Martha Emily Farley Mize; her husband James Nuss; her daughters, Janis Nuss and Tiena Henson; and her sister Myrtle Mann.

She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Daily (Max); her grandchildren, Hollye Dueitt (Phillip), Hamilton Henson (Kayla), Hanna Henson and Nicole Hall (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Nina Belle Dueitt, Levi Dueitt, Ronia Dueitt, Elijah Henson, Ezra Henson and Emelia Hall.
