He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Williams Hammonds; and his parents, Buck Sr. Boone and Ethel Mae Boone. He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Strickland (Daniel) of Gardendale and Pamela Bales (Rick) of Brownsburg, Indiana.; and his grandchildren, Christopher Willingham (Lillie), Alex Willingham (Emily), Connor Bales, Jordan Bales, Samuel Strickland and Abigail Strickland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Sacred Selections in Buck's name.
