He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Gurley Ropert; his parents, Arthur Ropert and Gola Mahan; and his brother Ron Ropert. He is survived by: his children, Greg Ropert, Richard Goepfert, Jerry Ropert, Carrie Reardon-Veltkamp, Sandra Ferguson, Karen Hannah, Audrey Collins, Lisa Perrin and Laura Knight; and his sister Nan Brusca. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
