With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brian Duane Hackney (Gardendale, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2025 at the age of 51. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Odes, Ruth Hackney, Wilburn and Birlie Staton. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Hackney; his children, Blake Hackney, Zachary Ehl (Tiffany) and Haleigh Roan (Austin); his grandchildren, Ava Hernandez, Elijah Roan, Emma Roan, Samuel Roan and Kashton Ehl; his parents, Bill Hackney and Dianne Hackney; his sister Traci Marlowe (Tony); and his nieces and nephews, Haleigh, Hunter and Tanner Hood.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
