It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Abney (Gardendale, Alabama), who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Neely and Katherine Neely (Self); her husband Horace "Grover" Abney; and her daughter Rena'Abney Marsh. She is survived by: her sons, Horace Grover Abney Jr. "Peanut" (Teresa) and Jeffery Abney (Bil); her son-in-law Jeff Marsh; her grandchildren, Brandy Marsh, Matthew Marsh (Kelly), Brent Abney (Whitney), Bradley Abney and Robert Abney; her siblings, Helen Neely Crane (Gary), Tommy (Gail) and Wayne Neely (Trina); her sister-in-law Lenora Abney Simpson; and her stepsisters, Denise Hall and Carol Childers. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
