He was predeceased by: his son A. J. Jackson; his father Joel M. Jackson; his brother David R. Jackson; and his nephews, Aaron and Jonathan Jackson.
He is survived by: his daughter April Jackson Yancey; his granddaughter Emmalee Ann Yancey of Gainesville, FL; his mother Helen Jackson of Ashville, AL; and his siblings, Shari Kell (Jimmy) of Rainbow City, AL and Mike Jackson (Lyn) of Millbrook, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
