Ruby Doris Keener Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Doris Keener of Gallant, Alabama, born in Manila, Arkansas, who passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Keener; her parents, Walter Shoffner and Annie Shoffner; her siblings, Freddie Shoffner and Virginia Wilbanks; her son Charles Gillis; her daughter-in-law Shelia Gillis; and her children, Billy Gillis, George Gillis, Peggy Smith and Tony Moore.
She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Tidwell (Phillip), Donald Shoffner (Judy) and Eugene Shoffner (Elawese); and her children, Lessie Putnam (Donald), Carl Gillis (Lynn), Jeff Gillis (Tracie), Neal Keener, Grahl Keener (Angie), Walter Keener (Katie), Steven Kelly Moore (Glenda) and LaVonda Payne (Tom). She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to St. Jude Hospital.
