He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Chestnut Estes; his mother Lucy Estes; and his brothers, Kenneth Estes, Roger Estes and Wesley Estes.
He is survived by: his brother Allen Johnson; his wife Dannette Estes; his children, Shannon Estes, John Estes (Josette), Crysta Robertson (Darryl), Kellie Ledbetter (Jason), Traci Brooks (Eric) and Joshua Herring (Carmela); and his grandchildren, Jesse Estes, Rylie Brooks, Zayne Ledbetter, Caleb Ledbetter, Landon Robertson, Broc Herring, John Cade Robertson and Braxton Brooks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
