It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Frank Brown Jr. (Gadsden, Alabama), born in Wetumpka, Alabama, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie F. Brown, Sr. and Ida Mae Foster Brown; his wife Alice Brown; his siblings, Lovely Pearl, Janie Mae and Robert; his granddaughter Robbyn; and his close friend Bertha Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Willie Brown, III (Ester), Vallery Brown, Timothy Brown (Sharon), Sheila Jones (Lonnie), Deverett Hill, Everett Hill (Sharon Marbry) and Craig Ford; and his close friends, Willene Wallace, Perry Guin and Jonathan Rhodes. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren and a large host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Brown received numerous awards and commendations throughout his lifetime, including being inducted into The Alabama Senior Citizens Hall of Fame for his outstanding service and contributions to the community.
