He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Turner and Mae Langdon Turner; his wife Doris Harper Turner; and his siblings, Arnold Turner, Mary Anne King, Alice Truitt, Robert Turner and Eugene Turner.

He is survived by: his brother Levi Turner Jr.; his children, Rose Turner Pate (Chip), Mark Turner (Lola) and Robin Turner Singh (Davinder); his grandsons, Kirby Pate, Bradley Singh and Jeremy Singh; and his close friend Rebecca Hilleke.
