He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lola Mae Clayton and Ellis Lee Clayton; his son Wesley Jr.; and his siblings, Paul Clayton, Kenneth Clayton, Ellis Lee Clayton Jr., Denise Vielehr, Linda Ann Clayton, Pamela Garcia and Glynis Johnson.

Wesley was concerned about others suffering from the deadly cancer and decided to donate his body for research.
