He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Whittington and Verta Whittington; and his siblings, Delano, Carl Whittington, Jr. and Edna Vaughn.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda; his children, Teresa Blakney (Ken), Kristie Livingston (Chris), Mark Whittington (Michele) and David Fambrough (Sandra); his grandchildren, Sarah Alexander (Justin), Rebecca Walker (Stephen), Noah Whittington (Jennifer), Grace Whittington, Melody Whittington, Jonathan Williams and Matthew Livingston; his great grandchildren, Titus and Haddon Alexander; and his siblings, Jerry, Oliver, Don Whittington, Rena McLamb and Jackie Bass. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
