He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Maeger (Shag) and Christine Maeger; and his brother Ronnie Maeger (Brenda). He is survived by: his wife Sybil; his stepson Brian Jones (Melissa); his daughter Kristin Fanning (Michael); his former wife Louise (Brogdon); his son David Brogdon; his grandchildren, David (Suzanne Brogdon), Lindsay Stroup (Will), Emily Dixon (Cannon) and Ethan Brogdon (Kensley); and his great grandchildren, Barrett, Lillian, Jacob Stroup, Evelyn, Raleigh Dixon and Ella Mae Brogdon.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to First Baptist Church of Southside, 2560 Mountain View Dr., Southside, AL 35907.
