He was predeceased by: his parents, Ermon Carter and Eron Carter; and his sisters, Judy Carter and Nancy Farlow (Carter). He is survived by: his girlfriend Glynda Faucett; his daughter Jody Holland (Heath); his grandchildren, Kayla McGuire (Kyle), Matthew Holland (Paige Williams) and Andrew Holland; his great grandchildren, Destiny Nelson, Aliyah McGuire (Marshal Williams), Braxton McGuire, Aubrey Holland, Bryce Young and Jesslyn McGuire; his great great grandchild Mary Kate McDaniel; his nephews, Tony Clevenger (Sara) and Tim Clevenger (Penny); his niece Tracy Johnson (Mike); his children, Donna Laveson (Bob) and Kim Faucett; and his grandchildren, Abigail, Grant, Trent and Blake Laveson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Collier-Butler Chapel (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901).
